Set in Uganda, “Clipped Wings” is a story that coldly and crudely denounces the drama of child soldiers.

This story makes us go deeply into the real life nightmare of thirteen year old Ogaba torn away from maternal (Akwero) affection and from his carefree adolescence by rebels of the Liberation Army of the Lord (LAL) and Kony to be transformed with others of the same age (Opiyo, Oriang) into a merciless instrument of death or like their friend Susan into a sex object for the soldiers.

We get completely drawn into their suffering, kidnapped and terrorized by the terrible commander Dwaka, led by the squad chief Bloody Charles. We witness them having their identity swept away and under the influence of drugs, commit and suffer atrocities of gratuitous cruelty.
